Kid with bone disabilities seeks help

Manama

From the moment she entered this world, baby Rahma is facing big challenges and obstacles. Born with acute calcium deficiency, it caused her physical disability. Subsequently, this affected and deformed several of her joints and lower limbs.

A non-profit group of 40 people, Abwab Al Khair, which came to know about the child’s family and the case of the child, is keen to share her case through social media for awareness and seek aid to help her.

Abu Abdullah, of Abwab Al Khair, said, “Rahma has undergone physiotherapy with two sessions a week but it didn’t bring any desired results. So her parents are trying to call for help from Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and the Health Ministry of Bahrain.”

Reports from the Bahrain Defence Force hospital confirmed that she needed a special surgery by a pediatric orthopedic specialist to deal with the deformities in her bones and joints.

The family hopes that Rahma can be treated in King Faisal Specialist Hospital. They are also seeking help from any local or foreign charity organization to bring their kid to normal life. Those wishing to reach them can send an e-mail to news@dt.bh.
