First private rehabilitation service as KIMS, CLINEA sign $20m deal
KIMS Bahrain Healthcare (KBH) has come together with Europe-based CLINEA to provide long-term rehabilitation and post-acute care in Bahrain. A lease agreement was signed between KIMS and CLINEA, on the occasion of KIMS’ completion of 15 years of successful operations in the Kingdom.
The services will be provided through a $20 million new facility alongside the upcoming KIMS Bahrain Hospital in Umm Al Hassam. The 10-storey facility will have 110 rehabilitation beds. In addition, the facility will provide rehabilitation day care for 30 outpatients (ambulatory). An event and a press conference was held at the Awal Ballroom, Gulf Hotel, yesterday, to mark the signing of the agreement.
The event was attend by senior officials from both the companies, namely – Dr M I Sahadulla, Chairman and Managing Director, KIMS Healthcare Group, Ahmed Jawahery, Chairman, KIMS Bahrain Medical Centre and President, Royal Bahrain Hospital, Dr Sheriff Sahadulla, Chief Executive Officer, KIMS Healthcare Group and Jacob Thomas, Executive Director, GCC Operations and Projects, KIMS Healthcare Group.
