Man jailed for forging document
The High Criminal Court has sentenced a man accused in forgery case to three years in prison along with BD5,000 in compensation to his victim. The defendant is said to have falsified a form for car ownership transfer to illegally own a vehicle.
He was abetted by an unknown man, whose identity is yet to be ascertained. The Bahraini man allegedly counterfeited the signature of the real owner of the car in the form, as a result of which the ownership of the vehicle got transferred.
The real owner discovered the forgery and he filed a complaint against the defendant, according to Prosecutors. Police investigations confirmed that the form was filled by the defendant, who also faked the plaintiff’s signature.
