Labour Ministry ‘offering platform for private sector jobseekers’

The Labour Minister yesterday highlighted his ministry’s efforts to help jobseekers obtain appropriate jobs in the private sector. This came as Labour and Social Development Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), Jameel Humaidan, received MP Mamdooh Abbas Al Saleh.

They discussed ways to enhance Legislature-Executive co-operation to further serve the development march and increase national resources. The minister informed the lawmaker about the Labour Ministry’s efforts regarding the development of the mechanisms to employ national job-seekers in the private sector, including the holding of general and specialised career expos to integrate national competencies in the labour market.

Mr Humaidan also highlighted the latest developments regarding the Labour Ministry’s programmes to consolidate social protection and provide integrated care services for all segments and groups of the Bahraini society. MP Al Saleh stressed the importance of co-operation between the legislative and executive branches in enhancing the social protection system and improving the quality of the services delivered by the Labour and Social Development Ministry to the citizens to achieve the aspired for sustainable development goals.
