Child Support Line campaign kicks off in Makkah schools
The General Department of Education in Makkah region, represented by the Department of Guidance and Counselling, launched the Child Support Line campaign on Saturday. The campaign will run for a week and will target 1,538 schools. The campaign is raising awareness among male and female students about the telephone number 116111, explaining that the line offers advice and support in confidentiality under specific controls.
The campaign also informs teachers and administrators of the importance of recognising that the Child Support Line is dedicated to all children according to their capabilities and age, not only to children exposed to violence. The Child Support Line project is one of the leading national projects of the Kingdom’s National Family Safety Programme (NFSP).
It reflects the importance the Saudi leadership attaches to the issues concerning families and children in all fields. Training programmes organised by the Human Resources Department at the General Department of Education in the Makkah region also started on Saturday. The programmes are training executives in various fields in co-operation with the Department of Education Training
