Bahrain schools pay homage to martyrs

Manama

Following directives from the Education Minister Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi, government schools organised a number of functions in honour of the brave Bahraini soldiers who were martyred while performing their sacred national duty within the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to support legitimacy in brotherly Yemen.

The events aimed at fostering patriotism, national identity and social responsibility among students.

In some schools, students observed a minute of silence during the morning assembly, while in some other schools, students, administrative staff and teachers read poems lauding the martyrs’ heroism and valour.

Some schools devoted the morning queue to pray for the souls of the martyrs. One of the schools honoured a martyr’s son in tribute to his father’s heroic role in defending the nation’s Arab identity and security.
