Art expo
An art exhibition for artist Fuad Albinfalah was opened on Monday at Akkas Gallery. The exhibition, entitled “Tree Whispering”, was attended by many art lovers and artists around the country. The work of Fuad Albinfalah centres around the use of organic materials like wood to create small and large-scale sculptural pieces.
The artist manages to transform tree trunks and hefty branches into artistic objects that have a natural appeal to viewers. To achieve the final look of his sculptures, the artist polishes the surface until the exposed wood pieces gleam brightly, contrasting sharply with the dark colour of the scorched interior.
Fuad Albinfalah has participated in many art exhibitions in Bahrain and other countries including the United States of America. He has been commissioned by different institutions in Bahrain and the Gulf to do large-scale sculptures including four pieces currently displayed around Bahrain Bay Area next to the Avenues Mall.
