Bahraini envoy attends Working Group Meeting on Energy Security
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Poland residing in Berlin, Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah, participated in the Warsaw Process Working Group on Energy Security, in partnership with the United States and the Republic of Poland on 23-24 October 2019.
The session, hosted by the Republic of Poland in partnership with the United States of America, was opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Jacek Czaputowicz, the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Poland, Michał Kurtyka, and the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Poland, Georgette Mosbacher.
The Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered a speech in which he underscored the importance of holding such groups in light of the current challenges threatening energy security in the Middle East and the world at large. He also stressed the need to enhance cooperation in order to preserve the security and stability of energy and reduce the illicit trade of petroleum products.
The Secretary of State in the Ministry of Environment commended the Kingdom of Bahrain for hosting the Warsaw Process Working Group on Maritime and Aviation Security, discussing the protection of vital energy infrastructure, diversification of energy sources, and safety of the power supply chain.
