Red Crescent volunteers to participate in local, global events
Mubarak Al Hadi, Acting Secretary-General of the Bahraini Red Crescent Society, has stressed that the society is constantly building the capacity of its promising Bahraini youth volunteers, in order to enhance the representation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in various forums related to local, regional and international relief and humanitarian work.
During a meeting with a number of the Society’s volunteers from the chairmen and members of its working committees, Mr Al Hady confirmed that the continuous qualitative training followed by the society volunteers in different fields aims at creating a second kind of leaders capable of continuing to promote the bright March of the Bahraini Red Crescent as it was over the last 50 years.
He stressed that the Bahraini Red Crescent is sparing no effort to provide training courses and camps for its volunteers both within the society by bringing the best trainers in various fields of relief and humanitarian work, or by sending volunteers to external training courses in Lebanon, Jordan and other Arab and even European countries.
In this context, he revealed that the Bahraini Red Crescent Society will prepare a delegation of its youth volunteers to participate in the constitutional meetings of the International Red Cross Movement and Red Crescent that will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, for eight days from 2nd to 10th next December.
The importance of this participation in highlighting the efforts of the Red Crescent volunteers on a global level is significant, the society said in a statement issued.
