Bahrain, Kuwait for greater ties
Bahrain’s Minister of Finance and National Economy yesterday called for expanding bilateral cooperation with Kuwait on the sidelines of his visit to the Future Investment Initiative (FII).
This came as Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa held discussions with the Minister of Finance of the State of Kuwait, Dr Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf. The meeting discussed ways to improve ties, which continue to receive the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Emir of Kuwait Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Shaikh Salman recognised the importance of expanding economic cooperation to accelerate regional economic growth and commended the support extended by the State of Kuwait to Bahrain. The Ministers reviewed ways to strengthen economic cooperation and exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.
