Bolstering bilateral ties
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness the Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and their wishes to him and his people of abundant health and success and the Kingdom of Thailand further progress and prosperity.
This came as General Prayuth Chan-ocha received the minister in Bangkok. General Prayuth Chan-ocha requested Shaikh Khalid Al Khalifa to convey his greetings to His Majesty the King, His Royal Highness the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, alongside his wishes of further prosperity to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
General Prayuth Chan-ocha also expressed the pride of the Kingdom of Thailand in friendly and growing relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain which are based on trust, respect and mutual appreciation, welcoming the Kingdom of Bahrain’s accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia. For his part, the Foreign Minister affirmed keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to push forward bilateral relations and joint cooperation with the Kingdom of Thailand in several areas, and continue consultation and coordination on various issues in international forums.
He commended the Kingdom of Thailand for hosting the 35th Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and wished the summit success in reaching results that contribute to strengthening the role of the association, achieving its goals and meeting the hopes and aspirations of its countries towards further progress and prosperity.
