Envoy visits annual IACP in Chicago

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa visited the security exhibition accompanying the annual conference of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP 2019), which was held in Chicago.

On the sidelines of the visit, the Ambassador held several bilateral meetings with heads of police and public security from different US states and cities to explore cooperation opportunities within the framework of the existing security coordination and exchange of experiences between the two countries.

As he toured the expo, the envoy visited the platforms of a number of participating American and international companies and companies which were present to get acquainted with the state-of-the- art equipment, security technologies and innovative solutions on display to be able tackle emerging crimes and threats. He also toured the Dubai Police Pavilion where he listened briefly to Major General Abdullah Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police on their initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing security and upgrading the services provided to customers.

This visit comes within the framework of the Embassy’s keenness to be acquainted with the latest trends and developments in the security industry and to discuss opportunities for cooperation and joint work in the field of security and public safety.
