Key investors’ conference begins today

Under the auspices of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the 18th Arab Businessmen and Investors Conference (ABIC) and the third edition of the World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum 2019 (WEIF 2019), themed “Fourth Industrial Revolution: Shaping the Future- Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Digital Economy”, will kick off today. The three-day conference will attract about 1500 participants from all over the world.

It is an Arab economic and investment gathering aimed at driving investment in entrepreneurship and innovation in the digital revolution in the Arab world and enhancing the regulatory cooperation among the Arab countries in this field. It is a key platform that brings together all the Arab parties concerned with investment, including senior officials, investment and promotion bodies, entrepreneurs and Arab companies involved in various sectors of digital investment.

On the occasion, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Sameer Abdulla Nass, valued highly HM the King’s patronage of the prestigious event, held marking the 80th anniversary of BCCI.

He lauded HM King Hamad’s support for BCCI, being the representative of the commercial and industrial sector in the kingdom, stressing BCCI’s appreciation of the support of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and backed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, for its  strategic plans to strengthen complementarity between the government and the private sector.
