TRA wins GCC best employer brand award

 The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) was announced winner of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)’s Best Employer Brand Award Category at the 8th Asian Leadership Awards (ALA) in Dubai.

Hosted since 2011, ALA distinguishes and honors visionary leaders who have contributed and shaped the Asian economy and who are behind today's outstanding businesses. ALA will showcase learnings from best practices.

The award was presented by Dr. R.L. Bhatia –Founder of World CSR Day and Project Director World HRD Congress.

TRA Director of Finance, IT and HR, Shaikh Mohamed bin Salman Al Khalifa, commenting on this occasion, said that “TRA won this award ahead of esteemed organizations from across the GCC region, based on assessments of key criteria, namely; how well an organization’s HR strategy is put into action against its vision, how an organization cultivates competencies with future needs in mind, how it engaged employees and provides benefits, and equal opportunity to women leaders.”

“This is an honorable achievement for TRA which is continuously committed to these criteria in line with the best practices. Awards such as this, which we win ahead of high caliber organizations, are proof of TRA’s progress and success as an organization.” Shaikh Mohammed added.

The GCC’s Best Employer Brand Award recognizes The Authority’s efforts in using marketing communications effectively in attracting talent, retaining talent, developing talent and in retention policy. The award’s key criteria are; translating and combining vision with action in conjunction with HR strategy, building a platform to engage HR strategy with business, cultivating competencies for the future to enable building the organization to-be future-ready, employee benefits and employee engagement, and last but not least is providing equal opportunities to women leaders.
