Student ecommerce camp concludes

More than 300 students from 40 public and private schools have participated in the first eCommerce camp for High School 2019, which was held at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

 

 

The event was held in cooperation with the Student Affairs Directorate in the Ministry of Education, to increase awareness in eCommerce field and modern technologies among all members of the community.

 

 

The camp included several awareness and training workshops to educate the high school students about the labor market requirements in the eCommerce and information technology field as well as to encourage the spirit of innovation and creativity among young Bahrainis in the eCommerce applications.

 

Several entities have been participated in the camp such as the Registration Directorate in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism that present the virtual commercial registration requirements and its importance to the youth to enter the labor market to take the advantage of the CR in terms of not requiring a commercial place, flexibility in conducting business, legal status and the possibility of concluding contracts with companies.

 

 

On the other hand, Keepers Incubator and Business solutions presented the programs that will help students to start up a project and how to rely on technology and electronic channels in business operations, which will qualify them for entrepreneurship in the eCommerce field.

 

 

As well as, the camp hosted several pioneering youth successful stories in the eCommerce field in the Kingdom of Bahrain, included Annadaonline, Renaf sport application, Custom PC project in the technical field, Doctoric application that related to book a medical appointment online and some virtual registration projects: Rozeberg and Greymints.

 

 

The camp has achieved positive interaction from the audience and participated schools for the importance of moving towards the preparation of promising generations in the field of technical projects related to eCommerce applications in various areas of life, which will in turn contribute to the development of the digital economy in the country.

 

 

On the sideline of the camp, the eCommerce competition for secondary students for the best eProject was announced, being launched for the second consecutive year. The competition will help the graduating students to develop their creative skills in the eProjects field and how to convert them to the actual business world, by providing support for the best eProjects, in cooperation with local incubators.
