Dead woman’s body found near Juffair seafront area

Capital Governorate Police Directory yesterday announced that a woman’s dead body was found near the seafront in Juffair area. The directorate explained that the body was found near Al Fateh area and added that initial information indicate a criminal suspicion.

This was announced on the official Twitter page of Interior Ministry yesterday, where it was also clarified that the concerned departments is taking the necessary legal procedures in the case. However, no further details on the woman’s identity was disclosed. The news came few hours after the directorate announced that it had arrested four individuals suspected of being involved in a series of robberies in Manama.

Quoting the Head of Hoora Police Station, a press statement mentioned that the arrested individuals are suspected of stealing money from several cold stores in the capital, and a vehicle that is believed to have been used in the crimes have also been confiscated. The official said the suspects are also accused of stealing money from payment devices after damaging it.

He confirmed in the statement that the investigation into the reported robbery cases led to the identification and arrest of the suspects while some tools used in the robberies were confiscated. The official added that legal proceedings were taken, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
