Huawei Bahrain showcases next generation AI-enabled products
Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology, Huawei held an event to celebrate its 15th anniversary of local operations in Bahrain. The increasing scale of interconnectivity and maturing intelligent technologies are bringing disruptive changes to enterprises around the world.
By adding AI capabilities to the next-generation of ICT products, Huawei strives to constantly lead innovation and help customers address a new round of digital transformation challenges to achieve business success. During the event, Huawei unveiled its next-generation intelligent product strategy and new AI enabled products for the enterprise market. Compared with Wi-Fi 5, WiFi 6 (802.11ax) achieves 4-fold increases in both network bandwidth and user concurrency.
Huawei AirEngine Wi-Fi 6 products support 5G-powered antenna and algorithm technologies to reduce the network latency from 30 ms to 10 ms. This allows smooth VR/AR teaching without user dizziness, wireless 4K HD conferences, and zero packet loss during the AGV roaming, accelerating the digital transformation of enterprises in various sectors. Huawei OceanStor Dorado V6 is an all-flash enterprise storage system designed for mission-critical services.
Employing a next generation hardware platform, reliable SmartMatrix architecture, five intelligent chips, Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) and Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) Solid State Drives (SSDs), and the FlashLink® intelligent algorithm, OceanStor Dorado V6 is the first full series storage that supports end-to-end NVMe architecture, delivering industry-leading performance — of up to 20 million Input/Output Operations Per Second (IOPS)* — allied with extreme reliability: Dorado V6 effectively prevents any service interruptions, offering fault detection systems that never affect services, and with no waiting time during upgrades.
The Huawei CloudEngine 16800 is the industry’s first data center switch built for the AI era. Huawei defines three data center switch characteristics in the AI era: Embedded AI chip, 48-port 400 GE line card per slot, and the capability to evolve to the autonomous driving network. With an innovative incorporation of AI technologies into data center switches, Huawei can help customers accelerate their intelligent transformation.
Cameras have evolved from devices that simply process images to those with multi-dimensional awareness; they can now handle and analyse video streams, and they are even able to foresee trends. Powered by Huawei AI chips, Huawei’s innovative Software-Defined Cameras (SDCs) decouple hardware from software and support the continuous online upgrade of algorithms, enabling sustainable development of algorithms throughout the hardware lifecycle with onetime hardware investment.
John Lu Yuedong, CEO of Huawei Bahrain said, “At Huawei, we are integrating AI technologies across multiple products, for example, IP and transmission networks, Wi-Fi 6, all-flash storage and intelligent video surveillance solutions. Focusing on campuses and data centers, we are advancing intelligence in our innovations to offer competitive next-generation intelligent products and solutions.”
During the past 15 years, Huawei has made significant local investments including hiring of 500+ employees, creating 800+ jobs, developing 50+ local partners, cultivating 40+ future talent seeds, and knowledge transfer to 10,000+ trainees.
