Honest man returns wallet found on street
A citizen who accidentally dropped a wallet on the street was astounded when a good samaritan returned it. The man, who works as a cleaner, found the wallet plopped down on a street on his way. Understanding that it belonged to a person who just drew away, he marched the wallet to its owner.
The man turned in the wallet by tracking the car, which he managed to find parked at the home of the citizen who lost the wallet. The wallet owner surprised and moved by the gracious act, shared the feel-good story on his social media handle, only to be picked up by other users in no time.
The story was widely circulated on social media and received high praises. The citizen also informed the incident to the Southern municipal council, which honoured the poor man with a grand ceremony.
“This is much-deserved honour for his integrity and honesty,” said Southern Municipal Council chairman Bader Al Tamimi. “His actions are praiseworthy especially considering that he is poor and struggling for money.”
