Speaker reiterates Bahrain’s support to Palestine
Manama:
Council of Representatives Speaker Fawziya bint Abdulla Zainal reiterated Bahrain’s unwavering support to the Palestinian people’s legitimate and inalienable rights to establish their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital, on the basis of the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions.
She affirmed Bahrain’s categorical rejection of all forms of violations and assaults being perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people, describing the settlement construction as a flagrant violation of the international law and UN resolutions, citing particularly the UN Security Council Resolution 2334 which was issued in 2016.
She said that the Israeli flagrant violations would impede efforts aimed at achieving just and comprehensive peace in the region, reiterating the support of the Council of Representatives to the Palestinian issue at all regional and international parliamentary platforms.
The Speaker voiced the stance as she received Palestinian Ambassador to Bahrain Taha Mohammed Abdulqader, who hailed the Kingdom’s support to the Palestinian issued,
He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, commending Bahrain’s firm stances and pivotal role in international arenas.
