HM King to patronise ceremony to honour outstanding workers, enterprises

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa will patronise the 35th edition of the ceremony to honour outstanding workers and distinguished establishments.

Organised by the Labour and Social Development Ministry, the ceremony will be held on December 12 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel’s Bahrain Conference Centre.

Labour and Social Development Minister and Chairman of the High Organising Committee of the ceremony, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, extended sincere thanks and gratitude to HM King Hamad for patronising the annual event, held in conjunction with the kingdom’s celebrations of the anniversary of HM the King’s Accession to the Throne and the glorious National Day.

He pointed out that HM the King’s patronage is a royal appreciation to Bahraini workers who are dedicated in enhancing their country’s development process through their distinction at various work and production sites.

It also appreciates the efforts of private sector enterprises to contribute to boosting the economy, development and the civilisational renaissance witnessed by the Kingdom during HM the King’s prosperous era, he said.

The minister commended the efforts being exerted by the members of the High Organising Committee for their excellent preparations for the key national event, which will be patronised by HM the King, stressing that the annual event aims to motivate the national workforce to exert more efforts, as well as encourage enterprises to achieve quality performance, increase productivity and attract nationals within a healthy and productive work environment.

Outstanding workers and distinguished establishments from various economic and production sectors will be honoured, according to the following categories:

The honourees will include prominent pioneers, well-performing enterprises, small-scale enterprises, distinguished administrators, supporters of people with special needs and people with special needs.

They also include workers in the sectors of non-organised economy, oil and gas, manufacturing, transportation and storing, banks and insurance, contracting, trade, restaurants and hotels, as well as social activities sector.

Workers in dangerous jobs, and those in the professions which began to attract Bahrainis will be also be honoured.
