Terror funding: Court adjourns case to Sunday
The High Criminal Court has adjourned a case involving two Bahraini men accused of funding terrorists to Sunday. Public Prosecution has accused the first suspect, a fugitive, of knowingly funding individuals to carry out acts of terrorism in the Kingdom from 2015 to 2019.
Investigators found that the first suspect recruited the second, who is currently in custody, to receive and distribute funds. According to the prosecution, the second suspect, on multiple occasions, collected the funds, transported and concealed it certain points inside the Kingdom.
According to a statement issued earlier by the Public Prosecution, the first suspect is currently in Iran. The suspects used the funds for procuring illegal materials, organising illegal demonstrations, rioting, terrorist activities, attacking Public Security members and damaging public and private properties.
