iGA celebrates GIS Day
The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), represented by its Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Directorate, celebrated GIS Day with a showcase of its soil mapping project.
The event, held under the patronage of the Minister of Oil, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, was organised by Tatweer Petroleum and Microcenter Group, which is ESRI Global GIS’s agent in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Soil mapping collects, analyzes and disseminates geographical data on the soil in the Kingdom and provides specialized maps.
