Speaker hails mass wedding initiatives
Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia Zainal, has stressed that the solid family structure and decent life are the pillars of a strong society, adding that supporting youth to form families and encouraging them to get married and take social responsibilities are a collective responsibility so as to contribute to the comprehensive development march, in accordance with the national fundamentals and Islamic values, as well as to achieve the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
This came as the speaker participated in the second mass wedding ceremony sponsored by the Al Baraka Banking Group, and organised by the Mafateeh Al Khair Society recently. The Speaker honoured the couples, and expressed thanks and appreciation to the Al-Baraka Banking Group for its community initiative aimed at supporting youth who are going to marry.
She also congratulated the couples and their families, wishing them a happy family life. She lauded the support of the private sector and civil society organisations for mass weddings.
