Minister pays tribute to Bahrain Police

Information Affairs Minister and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Institute of Political Development (BIPD), Ali Al Romaihi, has lauded the patriotic achievements of the Bahrain police and its efforts to maintain public security, protect lives and property, ensure justice and tranquility and put in place perfect conditions for the continuity of the democratic progress march and the sustainable development march, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.    

Mr Al Romaihi expressed sincere congratulations to the Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and all the affiliates of the Ministry of Interior marking the Bahrain Police Day and the centenary of policing in Bahrain. The minister valued highly HM the King’s establishment of the Royal Order of Police and the Order of Distinguished Security Service in recognition of the police personnel’s dedicated efforts in maintaining security and stability and supporting the Kingdom’s progress.

The Information Minister expressed thanks and appreciation to the Interior Ministry’s affiliates for their loyalty to HM the King and constant vigilance, being entrusted with safeguarding the nation’s security, as well as with protecting its hard-won achievements and preserving rights and public liberties, within their commitment to reinforcing the rule of the law, activating community partnership and instilling the spirit of tolerance, the values of belonging to the homeland, national unity and honesty. He hailed the success of the security authorities in reaching the highest levels of preparedness, competence, professionalism and distinction in carrying out their national duties according to the best international human rights and professional standards, citing their ranking fourth internationally in the security index according to the Global Competitiveness Report 2019.

The minister stressed that the Bahrain Police Day is an opportunity to pay tribute to the loyal “soldiers of the nation” and highlight their honourable sacrifices for the sake of protecting the society’s security and safety, in accordance with an advanced security strategy based on enforcing the law, countering crimes in all their forms, as well as on an effective community partnership in achieving the sustainable development goals in the “Kingdom of tolerance, security, peace and prosperity” during the prosperous era of HM King Hamad.
