Deputy Premier inspects key housing project
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Head of the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects paid an inspection visit to the Eastern city of Al Hadd. Shaikh Khalid stressed that the achievements in new cities projects reflect the government’s commitment to implement housing plans in the Kingdom.
“The new housing cities projects implements HM’s royal decree to provide 40,000 housing units, which is a priority in the government plan under the leadership of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister,” he said.
Shaikh Khalid praised the exerted efforts by the Ministry of Housing, ministries, and government services, such as the Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning and the Electricity and Water Authority and others, to implement Eastern Hidd, which is a strategic project.
He was briefed on the progress of each stage of the implementation of housing units and infrastructure works in the city, as well as the plan to provide services and facilities that were included in the general and detailed plans.
Housing minister Bassem Al Hamer praised the continuous follow-up on the Eastern Hidd housing project, by the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects chaired by Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
