BCCI, OBG, Al Ayam join hands to promote local businesses
The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) yesterday announced signing a deal with Oxford Business Group (OBG) and Al Ayam Newspaper to promote local businesses. BCCI Chief Executive Officer Shaker Al Shater, Country Director of Oxford Business Group Sarah Crompton-Donnelly, Editorial Manager of Oxford Business Group Geoffery Cooke and Al Ayam newspaper board member Rashid Nabeel Al Hamar signed the deal.
Also present was BCCI’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Dr Abdulla Al Sada at the signing ceremony. Al Shater said the deal aims at empowering local business, particularly micro and small and medium enterprises, and supporting their expansion to regional and international markets.
“This is in line with the leadership’s directives to empower the private sector and reinforce its contribution to the national economy,” he added. The project, he said, will help SMEs enhance their attractiveness to potential partners and investors and highlight Bahrain’s business environment and the privileges it offers to business owners and foreign investors.
