Health centres overcrowded as winter brings seasonal illnesses

The Kingdom’s health centres became crowded in the past few weeks as weather changes brought many seasonal illnesses. Sources said people infected with seasonal diseases and allergies have been making long queues at health centres across the Kingdom.

Amidst this rising number of patients, doctors, nurses and paramedic staff are doing their best to ensure treatment to all, the sources added. “In spite of this huge rush, doctors and nurses have been supportive and caring.

I am very thankful to them and hope they will keep up the efforts,” said Mohammed Arif, a patient who visited Budaiya Health Centre. Confirming the rush at all health centres, the Health Ministry said that more doctors will be sent in accordance with the number of patients.

“Budaiya Coastal Clinic has experienced a rush of patients due to seasonal illnesses. More doctors will be posted there to attend to patients,” the ministry said.
