BTEA praises Al Ayam Cultural Fair 2019

The Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), Nader Al-Moayyed, praised the vital role of the 26thedition of Al Ayam Cultural Fair 2019, held under the patronage of the Deputy Prime Minister, H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and organized by Al Ayam Press Publishing and Distribution at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
 
Al-Moayyed expressed his admiration, highlighting the achievements of the cultural event over the past years, on the sidelines of his visit to the exhibition, which is currently being held over a period of ten days, from 26 December 2019 until 4 January 2020.
 
Nader Al Moayyed affirmed the BTEA’s keenness to support the exhibitions and events taking place in the Kingdom of Bahrain that further support the development of the Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Exhibition (MICE) sector with the strategic aim of increasingthe Tourism sector’s contribution to the National Economy in line with the 2030 Economic Vision.
 
 “It gives me great pleasure to visit Al Ayam Cultural Fair 2019 which seeks to promote the culture of reading and inspire a love of literature amongst youngsters and adults alike. BTEA has been focusing on actively developing Bahrain’s MICE potential and strengthening its position on the global map. In addition to the various conferences and events hosted in Bahrain throughout the year, welook forward to having organizations and companies host their events in the new exhibition centre once it’s launched, which is located near the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir,” said the CEO of BTEA, Nader Al Moayyed.
 
The fair continues to witness a large turnout of visitors year after year. In this edition, Al Ayam Cultural Fair 2019 is featuring 240 Arab and Gulf cultural institutions and publishers in addition to Germany, Britain, Canada, the Philippines and for the first time, China. In addition, the fair brings more than 400,000 book titles, 15,000 of which are new and upcoming titles,  spanning various fields of knowledge and intellectual realms.
