Bahrain attends Arab League meeting
Cairo-based Bahraini Embassy Charge d’Affaires Abdulrahman Hasan Hashem yesterday attended the emergency meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent delegates to discuss the latest developments in the State of Libya.
The meeting was held following the request of the Arab Republic of Egypt to discuss recent developments in the State of Libya and the potential for escalation that could threaten the stability of Libya and the region, and to adopt an Arab position in this regard with a view to restoring stability in Libya through political solutions, and avoiding foreign interference.
The Kingdom of Bahrain supported the draft resolution proposed by the Arab Republic of Egypt as it is balanced and it affirms the unity and integrity of Libyan lands, and calls to eliminate terrorism.
