BDF day a milestone in Bahrain’s history: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday hailed Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Day as a milestone in the Kingdom’s history as he valued highly the efforts of the force in protecting Kingdom’s hard-earned achievements.BDF, the Supreme Commander said, “not only carries out its patriotic duties of defending the nation valiantly but also contributeseffectively to supporting the Kingdom’s comprehensive development march in many fields.”
HM, the King was receiving the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifabin Ahmed Al halifa, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, at the Al Sakhir Palace on the occasion of BDF’s 52nd Anniversary. Defence Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General, Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General,
Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, and several senior BDF officers were present.King Hamad conveyed congratulations and appreciation to all BDF officers, non-commissioned officers and servicemen, as well as the citizens on the glorious national occasion. His Majesty said he values highly the efforts of BDF affiliates to protect the Kingdom’s achievements, safeguard the citizens’ security and defend national unity, calling them as “nation’s fortified shield and its source of pride.”
HM, the King highlighted the BDF’s distinguished achievements at the international level, citing the national military football team’s success in winning the seventh edition of the World CISM Military Games in the city of Wuhan, China.
King Hamad expressed thanks and appreciation to the BDF Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, for his unwavering efforts and sound leadership, as well as the brave BDF personnel, paying tribute to all servicemen who have served the nati on since its establishment. HRH the Crown Prince presentedHM the King with a commemorative gift marking the 52nd BDF Day. BDF Commander-in-Chief presented commemorative gifts to HM King Hamad and HRH the Crown Prince marking the same occasion.
