House ‘keenness on national security’ lauded

Minister of Interior, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, yesterday received members of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee  at the Council of Representatives, led by its Chairman, MP Mohammed Al Sisi. Chief of Public Security, Lieutenant-General Tariq Al Hassan, attended the meeting. The Interior Minister welcomed the lawmakers, hailing the role of the council in promoting the interests of the nation and citizens.

He also highlighted the dedication of MPs in supporting security efforts, asserting that the Interior Ministry will continue to carry its security protection missions. 

The minister highlighted the importance of interaction and coordination in the best interests of the nation and its citizens. He also praised the Council’s role in reinforcing legislative work.

The lawmakers expressed thanks and appreciation to the Interior Minister, hailing the competency of security personnel, highlighting their dedication to developing legislation to promote security, stability and national accomplishments. The meeting reviewed topics of common interest and co-operation and co-ordination between the two sides.
