National Guard celebrates Sports Day
The National Guard held Sports Day activities for all National Guard units and brigades.
The activities included running for 3 kilometers, in addition to carrying out several exercises.
This came under the directives of National Guard Commander, General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, and within the framework of implementing the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to promote sport for all, and in implementation of the order of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, to mark February 11 as a Sports Day in all governmental sectors to encourage the practice of sport.
National Guard Commander stressed the importance of enhancing the level of sport and fitness for the National Guard affiliates, by raising the levels of their internal and external participation in various championships to achieve advanced sports wins locally and internationally.
National Guard Staff Director Major General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa followed up the activities, noting that exercising is essential to enhance the affiliates’ performance.
