The Civil Defense organizes an awareness campaign about the safety requirements for workers' housing
The Public Relations and Awareness Office at the General Administration of Civil Defense organized an awareness campaign regarding safety requirements in shared housing (workers housing).
The campaign aims to reduce accidents and fires that occur in these housing units, where a qualified team in the awareness field visits inspections to educate workers of all nationalities and work to shed light on some common mistakes they make and make sure that the owners of these housing comply with security and safety requirements, and urge them to Stick to it.
These requirements include the installation of an automatic alarm system, which is smoke detectors in rooms and heat detectors in the kitchens, the installation of fire-proof doors with radiators, the installation of emergency lights, the provision of adequate emergency exits and the provision of indicative signs clarifying these exits, and placing gas cylinders outside the building in a locked box Well-ventilated copper or iron installations, opening windows for ventilation in stairs and providing fire extinguishers of water and carbon dioxide, in addition to drawing attention to some risks that may be caused by electrical connections or smoking.
During the campaign, awareness posters were printed, which were printed in a number of languages (Arabic, English, Urdu and Hindi), in addition to providing a smoke detector to the residents as promotional gifts to maintain safety requirements.
