Tunis

Interior Minister has dedicated the Prince Naif Award for Arab Security, which he won for being the best Interior Minister in the region, to His Majesty for the great leadership and supportive stances. This came as Tunisian President Kais Saied yesterday received at the Carthage Presidency Palace Arab Interior Ministers on the side-line of 37th session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council in Tunisia.  The Tunisian President welcomed the Arab officials, highlighting the importance of those meetings in reinforcing regional security cooperation and joint Arab work in all fields.

He wished success to those meetings to meet the inspirations of Arabs. Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa chaired Bahrain’s delegation that took part in the session’s meetings held on Sunday and led by Sudanese Interior Minister, Lt-General El Tereifi Idris, head of the session. The agenda of the session included various essential security topics, including the formation of a work team to monitor terrorist threats and immediate analysis of terrorist acts, the recommendations of conferences and meetings that held by the General Secretary in 2019 and the results of joint meetings with Arab and international organisations.

The council decided at the end of the session based on a proposal by the General Secretariat of the Prince Naif Award for Arab Security, led by His Royal Highness Saudi Interior Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the honorary President of the Council to grant the Prince Naif Medal for Arab Security to Interior Minister of Bahrain that is awarded to a security leader with distinguished and active role.
