The World Health Organization commends the Kingdom's efforts and actions regarding the virus

This came upon the reception of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, and His Excellency Professor Faiqa Bint Saeed Al-Saleh, Minister of Health at the Crown Prince Center for Training and Medical Research in the Military Hospital this morning (Monday) to His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al-Manzari, Regional Director of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean On the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The President of the Supreme Council of Health and the Minister of Health welcomed the WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa provided an explanation of the latest developments regarding the Corona virus (Covid 19) and the precautionary and preventive measures implemented in this regard.
His Excellency the President of the Supreme Council of Health and His Excellency the Minister of Health confirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues its sincere national efforts to combat the Corona Virus (Covid 19) with the participation of teams and specialized medical cadres, where the national team in direct coordination with all the official authorities concerned to stop trips to and from the endemic areas and develop a plan To deal with cases coming from the airport, to develop plans for land and sea ports and to assign a team to follow up and monitor supplies and equipment.
The team also developed medical plans to deal with cases, set up and activated the electronic registration service via the link www.moh.gov.bh/444 and hotline 444, and promoted direct communication with the community through the media, the press, communication sites, places of worship and various institutions, in nine languages Different.
Then Dr. Mohamed Al-Shaaban from the Supreme Council of Health gave a presentation on the latest developments in the Kingdom of Bahrain in terms of numbers, statistics and measures taken in this regard.
The World Health Organization has praised the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in dealing with the Corona Virus (Covid 19) and working to contain it and prevent its spread by taking all preventive measures, early preparations and applying the necessary measures in line with international standards and recommendations of the World Health Organization.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Manzari praised the preventive and control measures taken by the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of enhancing ways to address this virus and follow-up surveillance and commitment to implement the instructions and awareness instructions issued, based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization and in the framework of coordination and cooperation to preserve the health of citizens and residents in the Kingdom.
The Regional Director of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al-Manzari praised the efforts of the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the sidelines of the visit of the World Health Organization delegation to follow up the Kingdom of Bahrain's actions in this regard on the efforts made by the Kingdom in implementing the recommendations of the organization regarding the spread of Corona virus (Covid 19).
The team discussed the developments of the framework of cooperation with countries that have announced recovery cases for the treatment protocol and the strengthening of cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the World Health Organization in confronting this virus.
He thanked the Government of Bahrain for its tireless work to respond to the outbreak of this disease in accordance with WHO regulations, by strengthening its basic capabilities, including early detection of public health events and timely response.
He pointed out that the organization is constantly following up with the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Bahrain and in all countries of the region and the world and with specialists the latest developments in the spread of the virus according to credible data to take the appropriate decision.
At the end of the meeting, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al-Manzari thanked and appreciated the President of the Supreme Council of Health and the Minister of Health for the good reception, confirming the continuation of cooperation and joint coordination between the two sides to review all current developments.
