Mohan Kumar appointed as new Indian Ambassador to France
Indian Ambassador Dr Mohan Kumar has been assigned the top post of Ambassador to France and is likely to take up the new job in May.
France is an extremely important strategic partner and cooperation between India and France spans Defence, Outer Space and Civil Nuclear Energy. Prime Minister Modi paid a highly successful visit to France recently.
Dr Kumar is uniquely qualified to be Ambassador in Paris because of his previous stint there and his fluency in French language.
Dr Kumar has had a very successful tenure in Bahrain. His wife Mala Kumar, cultural Ambassador in her own right, has provided stellar leadership to the Indian Ladies Association and has been involved in charity, social and cultural activities.
As a couple, the Kumars are sought after and are hugely popular on the Bahraini diplomatic and social scene. They will be sorely missed in Bahrain. We wish them bon voyage and bonne chance!!
