(BIPA) launches a specialized training program in the craft field in cooperation with the Bahrain Tourism Authority

Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, "BIPA", affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has a long-standing cultural and human heritage that deserves the efforts of the various parties to unite in order to preserve it, pointing out that handicrafts and traditional crafts constitute an important part of the gains. Civilization, which requires preserving and ensuring its sustainability, qualifying and building the capabilities of the owners of crafts, enabling them to fully exercise them and then transfer them to the next generation of Bahrainis in innovative and creative ways.

This came on the occasion of the cooperation of the Institute of Public Administration "BIPA" and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority to provide a training program for owners of Bahrain's handicrafts and traditional industries.

Bin Shams praised the role played by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority in preserving handicrafts and traditional crafts, noting that the cooperation of the Institute of Public Administration with the authority reflects its keenness to achieve sustainable and continuous development of the craft sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain by encouraging interest in this sector and making it one of the hubs Important in the Institute's strategy for developing and training national cadres.

Dr. added. Bin Shams said that developing a training program for owners of handicrafts and traditional industries will contribute to encouraging Bahraini youth to become more involved in this field, as the program will enable the owners of crafts and provide them with the skills, knowledge and educational materials needed to create everything that would advance the craftsmanship and traditional work in Bahrain, in addition to giving qualified and experienced craftsmen the opportunity to transfer their expertise to young people and train them at the highest level of efficiency and quality.
