Engineer Basem bin Yaqoub Al Hamar, Minister of Housing, confirmed that the Ministry is giving directives to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister, may God protect him, priority in his plan to implement the final plans. Services and infrastructure in Salman and the new Bahraini cities projects, as the ministry seeks to provide all public services and facilities in those cities in coordination with all relevant authorities.
 
The Minister of Housing said that the Ministry is currently reviewing the implementation of the procedural plans for the approved general plans for new cities, and preparing designs for public facilities such as gardens, educational, commercial and health facilities, with full and continuous coordination with the relevant ministries and government agencies, pursuant to a methodology for providing high-quality services to citizens living in them. Cities, in an effort to provide integrated and sustainable cities that meet the aspirations of the esteemed government.
 
Al Hamr said that the projects of the new Bahrain cities receive great attention from the esteemed government, whether in terms of building and constructing units or public services and infrastructure, considering that the cities implementation axis represents an essential pillar in the implementation of social housing projects included in the implementation of the high order of His Majesty the King of the country With the construction of 40 thousand housing units, and from which the housing obligations emanating from the government program emerged, pointing out that this axis is receiving constant attention and follow-up by His Royal Highness, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister.
 
This came during an inspection visit by Engineer Basem Al-Hamr, Minister of Housing, to the city of Salman, in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary and Engineer Sami Abdullah Bu-Hazza, Assistant Undersecretary for Housing Projects, and a number of officials and engineers specialized in the site, in the framework of following up plans and developments in the file of providing services Public and infrastructure in new cities.
 
The visit witnessed the Minister of Housing inspecting the Ministry's preparations to launch new packages of projects, as part of the efforts to provide 25 thousand housing units included in the government program, and drawn from the Royal Order to build 40 thousand housing units, in addition to following up the implementation of infrastructure projects.
 
The Red Engineer also inspected the sites designated for the construction of 303 housing units and 1402 ownership apartments in the city, which have been completed procedures for awarding tenders for them, in preparation for the start of construction works, pointing out that the Ministry has taken proactive steps during the last stage, which was to start early and finish the private works With the infrastructure of the sites in which the future units will be constructed, with the aim of expediting the implementation and delivery of the units and apartments.
 
The Minister of Housing also reviewed the works related to the construction of 4 internal bridges linking the islands of the city, with 3 bridges for vehicles and a pedestrian bridge, noting that the Ministry had previously built a vehicle bridge and another pedestrian and their readiness had been completed before the opening of the city, and noted that as soon as the construction work is completed For the current bridges, the Ministry will be close to completing infrastructure projects in most of the city's islands, which would accelerate the implementation of future projects.
 
The Minister noted that the Ministry is working on offering more projects included in the plan for future projects in the cities of Salman, Khalifa, East Al-Hid and East Sitra, in addition to the second phase of Al-Ramly suburb housing, and when the procedural course for each package has been completed, it will be put up for implementation as soon as possible.
