Hospital set to be reopened

A hospital that was closed down due to financial turbulence will be brought to life. A hospital in Jidhafs will be renovated as the nation continues to fight the coronavirus pandemic. Reportedly, many of the elderly will be treated at this hospital, according to the plans.
The authorities have already requested for electricity and water facilities to be restored at the hospital. Although coronavirus patients may not be treated there, elderly patients at Ibrahim Khalil Kanoo Centre may be transferred here as the centre continue to be called on for coronavirus patients.
Maintenance is ongoing in the first and second floor of the hospital. Last month, the Supreme Council for Health (SCH) President, the Head of National Medical Team to prevent coronavirus Lieutenant-General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh visited Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo Community Medical Centre, where they announced the medical centre would be designated for coronavirus readiness.
Meanwhile, mobile medical units is being used by the health authorities to test Bahraini returnees from Iran. The units is being sent by the ministry to the areas of residences of the returnees. This is due to the high rate of coronavirus in Iran and the risk that the returnees maybe infected. According to the ministry, the mobile units are state of the art and well equipped.
