Mega Social services complex in Isa Town

A deal has been signed to construct a comprehensive social services complex in Isa Town within 26 months at a cost of BD 7,347,994. Funded by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, within the GCC Development Programme, the project will serve citizens in the Southern Governorate.
The complex, aimed at serving male and female citizens with special needs of all age groups, will have four main buildings, including an academic and vocational rehabilitation centre, an elderly care house, a community centre and a building for services and administrative facilities. Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister, Essam bin Abdulla Khalifa signed the deal with the Bahraini-Kuwaiti Contractors’ Alliance, including Khalid AlKharafi & Brothers, Al-Sada and Downtown Contracting.
Southern Governor, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel Humaidan, Works Affairs Undersecretary at the Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry, Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Khayyat, Labour Ministry’s Undersecretary, Sabah Salim Al-Dossari, and several senior officials attended the signing ceremony.
“The project falls in line with the government’s keenness to meet the needs of all social segments,” said Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel Humaidan. HH Shaikh Khalifa expressed pleasure at the signing o and stressed Southern Governorate’s solid cooperation with the Works and Labour ministries to achieve more progress and prosperity.
