‘Bahrain displayed valiant efforts to contain Coronavirus spread’

Bahrain’s valiant efforts to contain the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) is producing great results, thanks to the directives of the Kingdom’s leadership, said Shaikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee.

The directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King, the Charitable Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Adviser, President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, to develop a programme resulted in ensuring the health and safety of all athletes in Bahrain, Shaikh Mohammed added.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al Khalifa was chairing a board meeting of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee. He affirmed the Committee’s efforts to continue accomplishing great achievements in the various sporting forums and increase the presence of the Paralympic movement in Bahrain.

Secretary-General of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee, Ali Al Majid said the Committee is working diligently to achieve the visions and goals set by the Bahrain Paralympic Committee. “This falls in line with the policies set out by the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and the International Paralympic Committee, which will further enhance the overall experience for athletes with impairments in regional and international platforms.” The meeting reviewed plans and strategies for the 2019/2020 period, as well as special reports on the events and activities that were organised by the committee.
