Bahrain Defence Force holds joint tactical drill

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander yesterday hailed the professionalism and capability of Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) calling it as the “fortified shield of the nation”.
The Supreme Commander said BDF will remain, as it has always been, as a force that supports peace and countering threats to the region, alongside brotherly and friendly countries.
His Majesty was patronising the live ammunition tactical drill (Shield of the Nation 2020) of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) during which joint forces carried out several tasks assigned to them according to preset plans.
The drill, HM the King said, reflects BDF personnel’s professional level and high morale as well as the participants’ accuracy, proficiency and harmony. HM King said the participants have proved their high professional level and stressed the importance of continuing such joint exercises to improve the servicemen’s competence and combat skills.
The Supreme Commander valued highly BDF’s health contributions and efforts to combat Coronavirus (COVID-19) with well-equipped medical facilities and preventive measures. HM the King, the Supreme Commander, expressed thanks to the tactical drill’s commander, participants and officials for the outstanding efforts they had exerted to ensure its success.
Defence Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, and several senior BDF officers also attended the joint drill. Earlier, upon his arrival, HM the King was welcomed by the BDF Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, National Guard Commander, General HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, National Security and Royal Guard Commander, Major-General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Chief of Staff, Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi.
HM King Hamad was accompanied by Royal Court Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and Royal Guard Special Force Commander, Lieutenant-Colonel HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
