The Director General of the General Department of Investigation and Criminal Evidence stated that, in response to a video clip circulating around the incident, the body of a 41-year-old Bahraini man was found in an open square in Tubli area, adding that preliminary information indicated that the cause of death was a suspected drug overdose. .
He added that the search and investigation work, which was carried out after receiving a report of the incident, resulted in the identification and arrest of one of the suspects in the incident, explaining that the initial investigations indicated that he was with the deceased, and after taking the drugs they transported the body to Tubli.
The Director General of the General Department of Investigations and Criminal Evidence indicated that the legal procedures established are being completed in preparation for referring the case to the Public Prosecution.
