The government sponsors electricity and water bills for all subscribers

The Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, Eng. Wael Al-Mubarak, announced that starting from April 1, 2020, the government will sponsor electricity and water bills for all individual and corporate subscribers for the months "April, May and June" of 202, not to exceed the bills for the same period of last year for each subscriber.

The minister said that this comes in implementation of the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the monarch of the country, to unify national efforts to confront the repercussions of the global spread of Corona Virus (COVID-19) at the local level in order to preserve the health and safety of citizens and residents in parallel with the continuation of the state’s programs And its work progress towards achieving sustainable development endeavors for the benefit of citizens.

The Minister praised the decisions of the esteemed government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister, to launch a financial and economic package to provide the necessary liquidity to the private sector to deal with The effects of the current situation to address the virus in order to maintain sustainable growth, valuing these decisions that harness all potentials and resources to support the individual, society and the wheel of development in the Kingdom.

The Minister also valued the efforts made by His Royal Highness, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister to unify national efforts to counter the repercussions of the global spread of Corona Virus (COVID-19) to ensure the maintenance of the health and safety of citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising his directives for the continuity of endeavors the government prioritizes the health of citizens and residents.

He added in his statement that during the past period, more electronic services related to subscriber services were launched and urged them in various social media to benefit from these services in order to reduce the time and effort needed to complete the services related to the Electricity and Water Authority.
