Medical staff's humanitarian efforts praised

Chief Executive of the National Communication Centre (NCC) Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Mennai praised the strenuous efforts of the medical and nursing staff in the Kingdom of Bahrain to protect the health and safety of all people.

He said the World Health Day, which is observed on April 7 and which is celebrated this year under the theme “Support Nurses and Midwives”, is an opportunity to extend thanks to the “white army” who are performing a noble mission in a sound health system put in place by the government of Bahrain.

The NCC Chief Executive underlined the great importance accorded to the health sector by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

He paid tribute to the medical and nursing staff for combating bravely the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on the frontline. He pointed out the international praise of the way Bahrain is handling the pandemic, adding that everybody is aware of the risks and challenges facing the medical and nursing professionals.

He also underlined the need to join hands in supporting them to defeat the virus and achieve the goals of Bahrain Taskforce to Combat Coronavirus (COVID-19).
