Labour Ministry begins implementation of HRH the Premier’s directives on social benefits

The Ministry of Labour and Social Development has started implementing HRH the Prime Minister’s directives to double the value of social security benefits and disability pensions to BD5.5million. The money will be transferred to the beneficiaries on April 15, a few days before the start of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Labour Minister Jamil bin Mohammed Al Humaidan said yesterday.
The Labour Minister commended the generous directives of HRH the Premier, which will benefit around 17,000 Bahraini families and 12,000 individuals with disabilities who are registered with the Ministry. HRH the Prime Minister is following up on the living conditions of needy families regularly and is constantly endeavouring to ensure a decent life for all citizens, Al Humaidan said.
