Cars to be impounded for causing noise disturbances

Vehicles will be impounded for up to a month for those disturbing public peace by making noises in their vehicles. This was stressed yesterday by the General Directorate of Traffic.
The directorate asserted the continuation of its law-enforcement campaigns, and urged the youth to avoid making disturbing noises in their vehicles in residential areas, while also warning them about the installation of illegal tinting.
It highlighted that noisy vehicles would be confiscated for a month to avoid disturbing people who are most of the time at their homes because of the ongoing situation. Meanwhile, illegal tinting would be removed by the violators at the sites.
The department urged all citizens and residents to follow traffic rules and avoid illegal gatherings that are against the precautionary measures in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.
