The Public Utilities and Environment Committee in the House of Representatives, chaired by Deputy Ahmed Yusuf Al Dimistani, Vice Chairman of the Committee, discussed a number of issues referred to it.

Al-Damistani said that the committee discussed the Shura Council’s decision regarding a draft law amending Article (3) of Decree-Law No. (2) of 1994 regarding urban planning, and decided to approve the Shura Council’s decision.

The project aims to amend Article (3) of the Decree-Law on Urban Planning, so that the general planning of cities and villages determines the different uses of the land that are consistent with the nature of the city or village and the needs of its citizens, with the identification of sites for public services, waterways, and archaeological areas if any, and a space for urban expansion In the future, the field of waterways in the lands submerged in water.

The committee also discussed the proposal of a law on amending some articles of Law No. 27 of 2014 to issue the Real Estate Lease Law, as well as the proposal in a law regarding adding an article number (23) bis to Decree-Law No. (13) for the year 1977 issuing the Building Regulation Law and decided to postpone the decision on them More research and study.

Al-Dimistani confirmed that the committee agreed to the proposal with a desire to establish a popular market in the Akkar area, and submitted its report on it to the Bureau.
