Over 200 new COVID-19 cases announced in one day

More than 200 new active coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced yesterday by the Ministry of Health, as the number of those infected by the disease in Bahrain continues to rise. As of last night, the total active cases went up to 764.
A majority of the new cases were from expatriate labour workers, the Health Ministry said, while the others were from contacts of existing cases. The number of recovered and discharged cases reached 591 last night.
According to the Health Ministry’s website, of the 764 active cases, four are critical. The total tested as of last night increased to 67,327.
