Foreign Affairs Minister praises UN peace role

Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani held yesterday a telephone call with United Nations secretary-general António Guterres.
During the call, they discussed recent political, security and regional developments as well as the efforts exerted by the UN to maintain international peace and security and support the countries’ efforts across the world to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Dr Al Zayani conveyed to Guterres the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his appreciation for the huge role played by the UN in maintaining global peace and security, and supporting sustainable development across the world while facing global challenges.
